Alcatel-Lucent wanted to incorporate state-of-the-art mobile marketing components into their communications program to connect more powerfully and personally with their customers and to demonstrate that they believe in and leverage the true marketing power of the mobile technologies they enable.
Punch developed a Mobile Marketing Quiz for use at trade shows-a survey that was presented via a Flash movie that played on a flat screen TV at the Alcatel-Lucent trade show booth. Visitors interacted with the poll by dialing a ten-digit number on their mobile phones. Once connected, each participant's mobile phone acted as a personal remote control that allowed them to participate in the poll.
The Mobile Marketing Quiz drove over 90% of participants to opt-in to receive ongoing marketing messages from Alcatel-Lucent via SMS text messaging to their mobile phones.
